L’advergame est un véritable outil marketing qui porte la marque

Nous souhaitions trouver un moyen original d’attirer des personnes sur notre stand du Salon International du Véhicule Industriel de Hanovre en 2008, et nous avons donc élaboré un jeu pour simuler le pilotage de camions de courses. Depuis, plus de 16 000 personnes sont venues jouer sur nos stands sur les différents salons ou dans le motor home Renault Trucks à l’occasion du Championnat d’Europe de Truck Racing et le jeu PC a atteint 800 000 téléchargements.
Suite à ce succès, nous avons décidé de profiter de l’engouement pour les smartphones. Après avoir rencontré Serious Factory en Janvier 2011, nous avons lancé trois mois plus tard le jeu Renault Trucks Racing pour iPhone.
L’objectif était d’aspirer le trafic généré par la thématique “camion” sur la plateforme d’applications car il était évident que des professionnels de notre secteur d’activité se trouvaient parmi les joueurs. Nous avons voulu offrir une expérience très réaliste, aussi bien en termes de graphisme que de gameplay afin de satisfaire les conducteurs de camions qui constituent notre cible marketing : on ne vise pas les habitués de jeux de voitures traditionnels. C’est une approche BtoB originale dans le sens où l’on divertit nos prospects et clients à travers notre communication. En ayant cette démarche, on ne recherche pas forcément de retour sur investissement financier, mais plutôt en termes d’image et de notoriété. Au final, le coût au contact est faible si on compare l’investissement lié au développement de Renault Trucks Racing et aux 12 000 téléchargements sur iPad depuis Octobre dernier et aux 250 000 téléchargement sur iPhone depuis avril 2011.
Une belle réussite qui a prouvé aux dirigeants de Renault Trucks que l’advergame est un véritable outil marketing capable de porter une marque. Désormais, nous réfléchissons à de nouveaux leviers nous permettant de capter du trafic ciblé à valeur ajoutée pour notre réseaux à travers ce même advergame.

Renault Trucks Racing Advergame

Offer an innovative application for iPhone and iPad

Renault Trucks designs, manufactures and distributes the range of vehicles and services the largest and most diverse of the market. As part of the European Championship 2011 Trucks Race, Renault Trucks wanted to create a buzz around this event and capitalize on its position as the European Team Champion 2010.

Available in the App Store for iPhone, priced at 0.79 euro and free from Thursday to Monday on weekends of racing, Renault Trucks Racing application offers the possibility of a fight at 160 km/h with trucks competing on three circuits and three different levels (training, racing and championship).

Since last October, Renault Trucks Racing application is also available in HD iPad at a price of 1.59 euros.

One of the technical issues of the Renault Trucks Racing advergame is to simulate real-time race with a truck while respecting the road handling of it. The user wants above all to find the realistic feel.

This application is part of the development of tools accompanying drivers and road transport professionals in carrying out their mission, set up by the company, in terms of leisure, this time.
